Simple terms for using this site, the bracketology tools, and the calculator features.

Using This Site

By using this site, you agree to use it lawfully and responsibly. You may use the tools for personal, informational, and editorial purposes.

The Round Robin is a DBA (assumed business name) of Hansell Ventures LLC, an Illinois limited liability company.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this site. By using any paid feature or subscription, you represent that you are at least 18 years old, or that you have the consent of a parent or guardian.

Tool Data and Local Storage

To keep tools usable between visits, this site stores some data in your browser localStorage:

This storage is controlled by your browser. You are responsible for managing and clearing your local data if needed.

Paid Features, Billing, and Subscriptions

Paid plans are not currently offered, and the features that were previously associated with a paid plan are available without payment. If I offer a subscription or one-time paid feature again, payment will be processed by Stripe, my third-party payment processor. By completing a future purchase, you authorize me to charge your payment method on the billing schedule shown at checkout.

If you already have a subscription, it renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time through the Stripe billing portal. A cancellation scheduled for the end of a billing period keeps access through the date already paid for. Access also remains available while Stripe retries a temporarily failed renewal, but ends if the subscription becomes unpaid or cancelled.

If you're not satisfied within your first 14 days, contact me and I'll issue a full refund, no questions asked. After that window, I don't offer refunds for completed billing periods, but you'll keep full access through the end of the period you've already paid for.

Annual plans are non-refundable after the initial 14-day window. If you cancel an annual plan, you retain access through your renewal date.

A refund and a subscription cancellation are separate actions. Refunding a subscription payment does not by itself stop future renewals, so you must also cancel the subscription if you do not want it to renew. A full refund of a one-time pass ends its remaining access. A partial refund or service credit does not.

If you believe you were charged in error, reach out and I'll make it right.

Pricing is subject to change. I will provide reasonable notice before any price change takes effect for existing subscribers.

Free Access

All current tools and features are free. You can build and share a basic bracket or ballot without an account. A free Google account and acceptance of the current Terms unlock cross-device saved versions, CSV export, larger Bracket Studio comparisons, the Hall of Fame database beyond its public preview, and deeper Oscars and Hall of Fame forecast details.

Display advertising is currently disabled. If advertising is enabled later, the Privacy Policy will explain the data practices and choices that apply.

Content and Accuracy

I work to provide accurate, timely information, but I can't guarantee every data point, ranking, or projection is error-free or always up to date.

Bracketology content is opinionated analysis, not official NCAA guidance or decisions.

Liability Disclaimer

This site and its tools are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Round Robin and its operators are not liable for damages or losses arising from your use of (or inability to use) the site, including reliance on bracket projections, metrics, or calculator outputs. To the extent any liability is not excluded, my total liability to you for all claims arising from your use of the site will not exceed the greater of $100 or the total amount you paid me in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Third-Party Links and Services

Some pages may link to third-party websites. I don't control third-party content or privacy practices and am not responsible for them.

Your Content and IP License

Any brackets, picks, or other content you create and save using my tools remain yours. By saving content to my servers (e.g., syncing a bracket to your account), you grant Hansell Ventures LLC a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and serve that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. I don't sell or transfer your saved content to third parties.

Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Informal resolution first. Before initiating any formal proceeding, you agree to contact me at theroundrobinhelp@gmail.com and give me 30 days to attempt an informal resolution.

Binding arbitration. If the dispute is not resolved informally, you and Hansell Ventures LLC agree to resolve it through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will be conducted in Illinois or, if you prefer, via video call. The arbitrator's decision will be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Class action waiver. You agree that any dispute will be resolved on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in a class action, class-wide arbitration, or representative action. If this waiver is found unenforceable, that dispute must be resolved in court and not in arbitration.

Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing me within 30 days of first creating an account or accepting these terms. Your opt-out must include your name and the email address associated with your account. Opting out does not affect any other part of these terms.

Exceptions. Either party may seek emergency injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm, and either party may bring small claims court actions within the applicable jurisdictional limits.

Force Majeure

I will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform my obligations under these Terms to the extent such delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond my reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, government action, internet outages, third-party service failures (including Stripe, Google Firebase, or Google AdSense), or other events I could not reasonably have anticipated or prevented. I will make reasonable efforts to resume performance as soon as practicable.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Subject to the arbitration agreement above, any disputes not subject to arbitration will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Illinois. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
